3 Deep Breaths

Just simply close your eyes..........breath deeply..............slowly inhaling.......slowing exhaling.

It is no secret that women forget to breathe because we get so caught up in what we need to do in a day for everyone else.  Breathing is essential and I'm not speaking on the shallow breathing that we do from our chest.  I am talking about the more deep meaningful breathing from our bellies.  Our health depends on it.

These deep breathing techniques are relaxing allowing you to deplete the stress from your mind, body and spirit.  Consider this as your regular exercise and one that heals and make changes from the inside out.  It does more than just change how you look physically but changes you mentally as well.

Simple deep breathing
Begin with a breath begininng with a full exhalation.   You must first inhale fully until you empty your lungs completely. It is also important to breathe in through your nose.

The Technique: Sit in a comfortable position with your hands on your knees. Relax your shoulders and all the muscles in your body as you release it.  On your next exhalation, let it out slowly through your nose, counting to five. Tense your abdominal muscles, drawing in your diaphragm to help your lungs deflate. At the bottom of your breath, pause for two counts, then inhale slowly to the count of five. Expand your belly as you breathe in. Now close your eyes and repeat. Think of your diaphragm as the pump and your breath as the power.
